The piece bears the stamp of the renowned workshops of Sarreguemines, a historic ceramics manufacturer located in northeastern France near the German border. Celebrated for its high-quality faïence and  “terre de fer” production, Sarreguemines rose to prominence in the 19th and early 20th centuries for its artistic yet durable tableware.
